 Project Proposals

The Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership is seeking community project ideas for its annual leadership program. One of the requirements of the training is for the students to implement and complete a community project that addresses a specific need in the County. Each year GNLI project teams impement projects that mke a positive difference in ou commuit. No project is too small or too large!

We are requesting programs and organizations throughout Gwinnett to submit a community project proposal.

The time frame of the project should fall within our program schedule, from August to March (projects are required to be completed by February). The GNLI program believes there are many organizations that could benefit from community support to enhance their efforts. Programs and organizations should keep in mind the following criteria for community projects proposals.

  • Projects/organizations approved for the GNLI program year are required to attend the kick-off retreat the weekend of August 22-23, 2009. Organizations will be requested to present their project proposal to the current class for selection. Organizations that cannot attend will not be considered.
  • Projects are subject to board approval prior to retreat presentations.
  • Projects should be limited to a minimal amount of funding raising.
  • GNLI is seeking projects that include raising awareness, educating the community, research and development. Also, enhancements and organization of existing programs and events are ideal.
  • GNLI recommends projects that will have an on-going residual benefit to the community.
  • The organization submitting the proposal should be willing to mentor and provide support to the group’s efforts. This may require meeting with them on an as needed basis (usually once a month) to help ensure the success of their efforts.

For your Organization/Project to be considered please submit a proposal and include the following information.

  • What is the project?
  • Outline your program the project is for.
  • Your time-line for the project (begin and end date)
  • Why it is needed.
  • Specify the objective(s) of the project
  • If selected, how will you help support the team’s effort to complete the project?
  • Include organization name, contact, address and email.

Please submit your project proposals to Nicole Love: nicole@gwinnettcoalition.org or fax it to: 770-995-1832.
